VPN

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a secured private network connection built on top of a public network, such as the Internet.
VPN provides a secure encrypted connection or tunnel over the Internet between an AASTMT network and other networks. Use of a VPN allows approved members of the AASTMT to securely access these resources from anywhere outside. It then behaves exactly as if you were actually on-campus in a highly secure matter.

Information security and auditing team provides the VPN service for secure remote access for AASTMT internal services such as:

  • Connecting to AASTMT applications (such as IDC applications)
  • Some departmental and college pages, e.g. some staff portals.
  • Access library online databases and journals.
  • Technical administration of AASTMT IT resources for IT STAFF.

For VPN access, please send your request to the Computer Networks and Data Center.
